Reservation, Payment and Refund Policy

These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for enrolling in classes at Columbia Safety LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). By signing up for any of our classes, you (“student,” “participant,” “you”) agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

  • Eligibility

1.1. Participants must meet the minimum age requirement specified for each course.
1.2. Some courses may require prior experience or qualifications; this will be clearly stated in the course description.

  • Registration and Payment

2.1. Course registration is only confirmed upon full payment of the course fee.
2.2. Payments must be made by the deadline specified at the time of registration.
2.3. We accept payments via Cash, Debit Card, Credit Cards, Check, or ACH.
2.4. Course fees are subject to change without prior notice. However, fees for confirmed registrations will not be altered.
2.5. A “walk-in” fee of $10 will be applied to anyone not paying prior to twenty-four (24) hours before the start of the course. There is no “seat guarantee” for walk-ins.

  • Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds

3.1. If you cancel your registration more than 7 days before the course start date, you will receive a full refund, minus a $10 administrative fee.
3.2. Cancellations made within 7 days of the course start date are non-refundable.
3.3. In the event of a course cancellation by us, a full refund will be provided or an option to reschedule will be offered.
3.4. Refunds may take up to 5 days to process.
3.5. You may choose to reschedule a class. Requests to reschedule must be made 48 hours before the scheduled date/time of the class and you must enroll in a new class being held within 30 days of the originally scheduled class. Failure to follow the rescheduling terms will result in no refund and no applied credit toward a future purchase.

  • Course Changes

4.1. We reserve the right to change course dates, times, instructors, or venue if necessary. Notice will be provided as soon as possible.
4.2. In the event of a significant course change, you may request a refund or transfer to another course.

  • eLearning / eCard  Policy

5.1. Key codes will not be refunded after being sent via email. This policy will be treated separately from the “Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds” policy. It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure they are enrolling for the correct course. If the key code has not been activated within 90 days of receipt, the code will be revoked by Columbia Safety LLC. If the participant has purchased a skill session to follow the eLearning session, it is the responsibility of the participant to schedule the skills session.
5.2. eCards from any discipline/ course will be issued on the first business day following the course taken. All efforts will be made to email these as soon as possible.

  • Student Guest Policy

6.1. Students with limited English proficiency may provide an interpreter for in-person classes, at their own cost. Translation services provided during in-person classes may not disturb or distract any other students.
6.2. Under no circumstances may students be allowed to bring children, spouses, friends, etc. to a class they are enrolled in.

  • Attendance and Punctuality

7.1. Participants are expected to attend all scheduled classes. Attendance is mandatory to receive any applicable certifications.
7.2. Late arrivals greater than 15 minutes may not be admitted to the class and will not be entitled to a refund or make-up class.

  • Code of Conduct

8.1. Participants must behave respectfully towards instructors and fellow students.
8.2. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the course without a refund.
8.3. Use of mobile phones or other electronic devices during class is prohibited unless specifically permitted by the instructor.

  • Intellectual Property

9.1. All course materials, including but not limited to handouts, presentations, and online content, are the intellectual property of Columbia Safety LLC.
9.2. Participants are not permitted to copy, distribute, or use course materials for any purpose other than personal educational use without prior written consent.

  • Liability

10.1. We are not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during the course.
10.2. Participants are responsible for their own safety and should follow all instructions and safety guidelines provided by the instructor.

  • Privacy and Data Protection

11.1. We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website.
11.2. By registering for a course, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

  • Certification

12.1. Certificates of completion will be awarded to participants who meet the attendance and performance requirements of the course.
12.2. Certificates will be issued electronically within 1 business day of course completion.

  • Governing Law

13.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington.  
13.2. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Washington County of Franklin.

  • Amendments

14.1. We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will apply to all registrations made after the changes are published.
