Nurse Delegation
The Nurse Delegation Program, under Washington State law, allows nursing assistants working in certain settings to perform certain tasks. Such as; administration of prescription medications or blood glucose testing, normally performed only by licensed nurses.

Courses for Home Care Aides
Once you receive your Home Care Aide Certification from the State of Washington you must complete 12 hours of Continuing Education every year before your birthday. Columbia Safety offers the 12 hours in a two-day course.
In our two day continuing education program you will be able to complete the 12 hours needed to meet Washington State requirements to keep your HCA current. These courses will change each year for a variety of new training in different aspects of your career.

The Home Care Aide basic training program is a 75- Hour course required by Washington State to provide the best quality of life through person-centered home care. Frequently Asked Questions
When does the next NAC course start?
The NAC course begins on the first of each month. Enrollment will remain open from the fist of the month to the 20th. Any NAC course submission after the 20th will be assigned to the following month.
What is a titer?
A titer is a laboratory test that measures the presence and amount of antibodies in blood. A titer may be used to prove immunity to disease. A blood sample is taken and tested.
How many times can I take the HIV/AIDS exam?
The HIV/AIDS exam may be taken twice.
Are your courses OSHA compliant?
Our Heartsaver Courses are for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory or other requirements. While these courses are designed to meet OSHA requirements, OSHA does not review or approve any courses for compliance.
